The Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition (TBCC) marked the start of its observance of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a champagne & strawberries reception hosted by Anna Page at Rebel Hill Florist. The event toasted all breast cancer patients and survivors and was attended by TBCC supporters as well as Nashville business and civic leaders. Everyone attending received a pink long-stemmed rose. The event also launched a month-long fund raising effort to benefit the TBCC’s Emergency Access Fund that aids women and men in financial need due to their inability to work or to pay mounting medical expenses incurred while undergoing treatment of breast cancer. TBCC is a grassroots organization that serves breast cancer patients, survivors and their families by offering education, providing individual assistance, funding research and programs, and advocating legislative action.
