Marcella Tudeen brings 37 years of experience in diabetes research & programming / volunteerism to her role on the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition Board of Directors. As a former program director / current volunteer facilitator at Healthways / YMCA After Breast Cancer Program Facilitator, she has led initiatives in volunteer work advocacy community projects, helping to support the field of diabetes in research as a grant writer, then later as a program director for a hospital-based inpt/ outpt program in several sites across the country before shifting to volunteer work for the last 10 years as a facilitator/author of the Middle Tennessee YMCA's ABC (After Breast Cancer) Program .

Marcella is passionate about supporting individual health as well as strengthening connections/well-being of our community and been involved in board work, program facilitation and advocacy, helping to bridge individual healing from breast cancer and diabetes with stronger, healthier communities.

She has expertise in fundraising community engagement strategic planning which supports TBCC in advancing its mission to be the foremost advocate and provider for Tennesseans facing breast cancer through individual assistance, education, and legislative action.

Outside of her professional and board work, Marcella enjoys tennis, hiking, and music, which reflect her belief in living a balanced life that involves staying active and enjoying time with loved ones. As a survivor herself, she is committed to fostering compassion, connection and meaningful support helping TBCC continue to make a lasting difference in the community.
