Michele Middleton- Events & Logistics

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 at the age of 45 & the subsequent chemotherapy, left mastectomy, and radiation, I (like some many other survivors) felt called to help others facing breast cancer.

My TBCC journey began with a timely conversation in the waiting room of my surgeon with a TBCC Board Member.  This led me to volunteer for their Golf Tournament in 2009. And the rest, as they way, is history.  I ultimately started organizing the volunteers for the tournament then used my Event Planning skills to assist with the planning followed by serving as a Board Member for 6 years - 3 of which I served as President.

And now (because I just wouldn't go away!), I work part-time as the Events and Logistics person while assisting with social media, reports, and variety of duties.  I am very proud of the work we do, and I know that each of us was drawn to the organization because of the tangible difference we make in the lives of others like us who may be struggling while facing breast cancer.
